ROCKY POINT DIRECTIONS
DREAMCATCHER, LOT 21, SECTION 13
From Phoenix take the 10 East toward Tucson. Exit at Queen Creek and turn right onto 347 South toward Maricopa. Turn right onto 238 West (there’s a light there and a Bashes on the corner). Take 238 West for approximately 39 miles until you curve around to a stop sign. Go left at the stop sign and take that road (Pima St/ 85 S) through the town of Gila Bend. Turn right onto 85 South just before McDonalds. This turn is marked with a sign stating “Mexico” and “SR 85 South”. Continue south on SR 85 to Ajo. (You will be on this highway all the way in to Rocky Point). Continue south on SR 85, the next civilization is “Why”, AZ. Continue south through Organ Pipe National Monument to the border at Lukeville, AZ. Crossing the border at Sonoyta, Sonora, Mexico. Getting through Sonoyta.... Once across the border you will continue south into the town of Sonoyta. The speed limit is 55 MPH from this point on. Driving in Mexico is not a problem as long as you drive defensively. Mexicans drive much slower than Americans. About 2 miles past the border you will come to a three way intersection. Stay to the left (towards Caborca). Do not take the direction to San Luis. About 1 block south of there the road will split into a “Y”. “Pharmacia San Luis” will be on your right just before the “Y”. Stay to the right and you will be on the road to Rocky Point. The highway from Sonoyta to Rocky Point is approximately 50 miles of open range. You will know you are close to Rocky Point when you start seeing sand dunes. If you get lost…just ask a Gringo or even a Mexican—everybody knows how to get to Rocky Point. Once in Rocky Point there will be an intersection with a stoplight. Turn left there (Blvd. Josepha Ortiz de Dominguez). Take it until it dead ends (about 2.5 miles). There are lots of stop signs along this road that are not easy to spot so use caution. Once at the end of Blvd Josepha Ortiz de Dominguez there will be a Pemex gas station on your left. Veer left and follow a dirt road with a sign pointing you toward Las Conchas. Follow that dirt road for approximately 3 miles. You will pass a “guard gate” with some guys sitting there waving at you. You will pass houses on the right. You are looking for section 13, but in Mexico, don’t expect the numbers to be in sequence. When you get to section 1, section 13 is next.. At “section 12/13, (Las Gaviotas street) turn right. At the T turn left. Follow down and make your 1st right. My house is the 3rd house on the right.—a white house with a big balcony upstairs and a big front porch down. There’s a sign above the garage with the name of the house “dreamcatcher” and the address on the front of the garage “13 & 21” If you get lost call Oceano @ 1-888-328-8491. Remember, once in Mexico you first need to dial 001 before the area code and phone number.
MEXICAN INSURANCE is mandatory in Mexico. Today it is convenient and inexpensive with on line websites that offer coverage 24/7. We recommend these websites: www.getmexicaninsurance.com, www.mexins.com, www.mexpro.com

RESTAURANT RECOMMENDATIONS:
Hacienda Las Fuentes -- located just outside Las Conchas on the corner of Blvd Freemont and Sinaloa. They have a great menu, tasty drinks and the ambiance is unmatched in Rocky Point.
Rosy's on Reelection street has the best huevos rancheros in town. Their breakfast and lunch are excellent, prices reasonable and service is great. Rosy's is a must and our personal favorite!
Mary's Seafood in Old Port. Don't let the little open air resin chair thing fool you. Mary's has the best seafood combination platter on earth. I hate seafood personally, but my Aunt & Uncle say it's better than any 5 star restaurant they've eaten in. It's a huge platter and it's inexpensive. Bring your appetite.
Coffee Haus on the way to Old Port- this is a German bakery/restaurant. Being German myself, I wasn't sure they could pull it off....but they can. Great American, Mexican and German breakfasts.
The Point in Old Port--Great food, reasonable prices and a wonderful view. Very romantic!!
Max's Cafe near the old Plaza Las Glorias hotel. They're all about comfort food. When you're tired or just plain leary of Mexican food go here. The owner is an American and he makes a mean burger & fries. His name is really John but everybody calls him Max. You can also check your email or make a phone call. Max's offers free phone service and high speed internet to paying customers.
The Mayan Palace has a really reasonable Sunday brunch to die for and the view is awesome.
Manny's Beach Club An old standard and a must do. Their food is above average and their prices are fair. It's great for people watching and it's right on the beach. Just be careful in the evening if you're bringing young children. They may get an unwanted education in lambada dancing.
La Curva Restaurant- Old reliable. Great Mexican food and very reasonably priced.
Reggies 8/13 has the best donuts and take home burritos in town made fresh daily and they're just down the street on Sinaloa.
Bryan's Sports Bar brand new and really good. Right outside Las Conchas. Get your NFL ticket fix here.
